Our laser cheque printing solution has multiple layers of security built
into each component including the TCWS software, TROY MICR Secure
printers and the Secure A4 Laser Cheque Paper.
The TCWS Software:
|
-
Physical security USB key (attached to the USB port of the PC), it prevents
unauthorised usage of the TCWS software, without this key you cannot
access the software
-
Each user has a login and password to gain access to TCWS
-
Functionality can be removed from the users view so they just see the
functionality that they are authorised to use
|

|
|
-
Functionality within TCWS can also be switched off or on for
specific users
-
We can set up users of the system with different user functionality rights
effectively providing excellent separation of duties to satisfy auditor
requirements
-
Bank accounts can be allocated to specific users so a user can only print
cheques for specific bank accounts
-
Each user has specified cheque amount printing limits
-
Security background printing across the face of each cheque (the payee and
amount of each individual cheque can be printed in the background of each
cheque at a 45 degree angle across the face of the cheque making it extremely
difficult if not impossible for the cheque to be fraudulently altered. This
security feature is unique to each and every cheque!)
-
Signatures can be applied according to predetermined signing limits (user
definable)
-
Signature files are encrypted (to prevent unauthorized usage of signatures in
other software applications)
-
Activation and decryption of signatures (optional), by use of signature card
and magnetic card reader
-
Batch file encryption
-
Full and detailed audit reports easily accessible that include for example,
which user has actually printed each cheque, when and how many times it was
printed.

TROY MICR Secure Laser Printers
-
The TROY 4200 and 2300 MICR Secure Printers are APACS approved for laser
printing the complete cheque including the MICR line
-
TROY MICR Toner ink has been specifically tested and approved by PIRA on behalf
of APACS
-
The 'Ex' printer models have locking paper trays
-
The 'Ex' printer models have a MICR lock which has three locking positions;
lock the printer from use completely; print MICR only; and print normal paper
(i.e. non MICR)
|

|
-
MICR Toner detector (avoids inadvertently printing cheques in non MICR ink)
-
Disable jam recovery (to stop the printer being deliberately jammed to extract
two identical cheques)
-
MICR Toner low notification (avoids low MICR ink content on cheques and risk of
possible rejection by the bank)
-
Data stream encryption & decryption (protects information flowing between
PC and printer)
